For one of our French classes last year we each brought one of our 'treasures' to share with group. Everyone was amazed at the variety of treasures brought along, each of which had a personal story, which we shared, in perfect French, of course!
From a shofar (ram's horn), a grandmother's Swiss watch, a collection of eggs made from different materials, photos of participation in an Olympics, a great grandmothers cameo, a unique graduation photo, a beautiful coloured vase and an ashtray with a special memory. But the one that tricked us all was a small round aluminum disc. We all came up with our suggestions of what it was, however not one of us was correct!
This little humble disc was the beginning of a toothpaste tube!
Everyone enjoyed learning about the others’ objects. Not only did we discover one another's unique treasures but also in our diversity what REAL treasures we all are.
