English Translation :

It's no secret that the French are big cheese lovers, they eat around 25 kilos per year per person. Some say that there are 300 kinds, others that there would be as many as days in the year, and still others claim that it would take several years tasting a cheese a day to go around of all the varieties of cheese in France (The Hexagon). Whatever the number, you couldn’t taste all the cheeses produced in France! Let's focus on these cheeses that are the pride of French terroirs, there  are 45 cheeses whose ‘protected designation of origin’ – certification of  geographical authenticity – are authorized by the government’s AOC seal.

There would be a Camembert from Normandy, a piece of Comté, Emmental cheese, a piece of Brie de Meaux, a little Saint-Nectaire, Cantal, Roquefort, a Pont-l'Eveque and a Munster.
