Creative Writing

Mitcham Community House runs two Creative writing Groups

-Our Wednesday Creative Writing Group is run by a Tutor

– The Thursday Creative Writing Group is a Self-run Closed Group.

“The Thursday Morning Creative Writing Class comprises a small but dedicated group of writers who have been collaborating for over twelve years.  We are a self-managing group who meet without a tutor and take turns in running presentations each week.  Writing prompts helps to get our brains and pens working effectively, and then we attempt a more extensive writing exercise that may address a theme or provide practice writing skills.  Members also work on their own projects, submit their work to various publications, enter writing competitions and take part in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) each November, a worldwide online event where the goal is to write 50,000 words.”

I am also a Tao Calligraphy Teacher, I learned calligraphy from an early age and when I was in art college, I developed skills in different styles of calligraphy. I am a patient and experienced teacher, who is offering an Introductory Chinese Class and Tao Oneness Calligraphy to the Mitcham Community House.
